About Helping Hand

Helping hand is the partner project that Cindy Chen also created meant to give back to the community. Helping Hand is a non-profit organization that utilizes the profit made by Magic Touch camps to help the community in another way. Each week of the camp that is run will be donated to a charity/organization around Victoria, BC.

What We Focus On

People in Need

Although Victoria may be a small place, its homeless population is something that can be seen all throughout downtwon Victoria. This is an issue that impacts thousands, and something where numerous organizations focusing on this problem need just a little help.

The Earth/Environment

Climate change is something we have always heard however we might not know what to do. We want to focus on organizations focused on solving these problems so we are able to keep on living in this beautiful planet which we call home.

Animals in Need

Adopt don't shop is something we hear often, but do we really act that way? Animals are being put down daily because of a lack of funding. A furry friend is something that all of us humans undeniably love, so why not show them some love back.

Hospitals and Healthcare Workers

Sometimes overlooked and in great need at the moment, doctors and health care workers are crucial to all of us. Currently, healthcare workers and their patients are really in need of a small boost.

Food Shortages

1 in 5 Canadians suffer from food shortages, and is something we take for granted. We need it to surrvive, and somee kids have to go thorugh weeks hungry which is something we can help change.

The Elderly

The elderly community in Victoria makes up a big group of us. Sometimes we skim right over them. Giving back to the pople who have given us so much in this life is something that we should all be doing.

Women in Need

Females have always been the underdogs and overlooked until now. Equality is being fought for throughout the world so giving to a cause that is vastly important for our future is crucial to all of us.

Mental Health

Although it may be swept under rugs, mental health is an aspect of the world which is not always recognized as an issue. However, we want to bring light to the organizations which are giving mental health its deserved importance.

Donations and Equipment

We plan on donating money to an organization if that is what would be best for them. If it is applicable, we will also be purchasing equipment or other items which would be helpful to the organization.
